Spark plug info needed
Oem 88's called for an fr5ls
5 is hotter than 3, so I have been successfully using fr3ls with a 150 shot.
Ac-delco has converted over to dififferent numerical system. You cannot use it as you did the old system (heat range etc).
The new system assigned numbers *****, nilly and state not to try to cross heat ranges. This does not help me.
My 87 now uses an 41-629 to superceed the fr3ls.
My question is: Does anyone know whick plug is a heat range below the 41-629? I spent a ton of time on the phone with ac-delco, webite too. It was a total waste of time. Hopefully someone here can help. My odds are much better here.
Switching brands is not a problem, I am just trying to restore my combination for a decent baseline.
