Dave, you ARE amazing---everything on sale. Amazing.
Question though:"The extinguisher bracket works on the driver's seat. It was designed to meet all the latest race sanuctions that state the driver must be able to reach it while "strapped in"."
It does work on the driver's seat? I've got the manual seat on a '96. Tell me it does and I'll feel great!
In Japan , the car not equipped with the pulling hook cannot go out to running in the circuit. Because Corvette is not equipped with the pulling hook, I want the pulling hook.
The C-4 Corvette has two (2) hooks at the front and two (2) hooks in the rear for pulling or tie-down, the front hooks are located on the frame just behind the front wheels, the rear hooks are located just in front of the rear wheels. Check these out and see if they qualify for the hooks you require.
What about the peddle itself? Others have told me to replace that too as it breaks since its plastic too right?
Ron
In my research in developing the pedal mount I checked at least 50 C-4 Corvettes, most with broken pedal mounts, some still unbroken after 20 years, I never found a damaged pedal. However, I did find a great deal of differences between the pedals even in the same year. All pedals will fit the MBP Pedal mount.
The pedal arm is stamped steel not plastic, the pedal pad is a hard plastic on a hinged medal bracket.

I know there is a hook there. However, because of its position, it is difficult to actually use the hook.
And When the pulling hook is actually used, the front spoiler is destroyed.
Therefore, I want the pulling hook that can be actually used.

Thanks again, Dave!!!
Yes, it works with a manual seats. I have found thatg the angle of the lever is slightly different from car to car and you might have to bend it downward just a little.

We do not have anything available. I've seen several ITE cars that have simply a steel plate to one of the front rub bars and that qualified. You might check with a local welding shop over there to see if they can fab something. The shipping from here to there would really make the part expensive by time you received it.

I can't read the text, but the picture is clear, and it appears to be something that was fabricated for that purpose.
I would suggest you add something that can attach to the front of the frame crossmember.
'92 to '96 pedal mounts break just as often as '84 to '91. If you are referring to the metal angle that GM added to the mount, it did not solve the problem.
I have found the metal angle installed on several '90 and '91 cars as well as '92 and up.
Most of the guys that are racing the '92 and up cars are changing to the metal mount before they break in service. A few have told me that the mount was cracked when they removed it.
During the development I found found '84 through '87 cars with no cracks in the mount but with worn out pivot holes allowing the pedal to feel loose and sloppy under heavy foot driving.
OK, thanks! I have been racing mine for years and have never had a problem with it. I replaced the pedals with aluminum, but didn't realize there might be a problem with the mount itself.
I will do some more research on this and will probably end up picking it up.
