Default boost pressure

I want to build a forged 350, to run a supercharger, and run high boost. what is possible, what is needed?

To kick it off:
A freshened block: (New or Honed)
-Forged Crank
-Forged Pistons (Compression ratio of 9:1, dished if you prefer)
-ARP Studs and associated hardware to hold it all together
-Freshend Heads (Some way to handle all that extra air)
-Consider an upgraded intake manifold
-This is in addition to any of the usual things associated with an engine build (decking etc.)
Fuel System:
-255 lph fuel pump (Boosters I've been told are a band aid)
-Upgraded injectors (I chose 42 lbs.)
-Consider tuning apparatus in the form of an aftermarket ECU
-Some extreme setups use two sets of injectors and/or an upgraded fuel rail
There's the basics, I'm sure I've forgotten some things. The cooling system will depend on what supercharger you choose. You'll also want to consider that adding air in may benefit from a making a way for it to get out in greater volume (headers, larger tubing on the way out). Don't forget the in car gear such as gauges. You've come to the right place for advice on this sort of thing

thanks, the forged internals, and studs are a sure thing, any aftermarket heads recommended, or just a ported lt4? Probably go with a ported LT4 intake also, or another suggestion? Definitly LT headers, should it be 2.5 in. or 3 in. exhaust? And any drivetrain parts that should be replaced when looking at the 500-600 hp range, and what kinda of boost pressure would get me there? Thanks for answering all of my questions.

since parts are about the same price would it be better to go with more cubes and less pressure or like previously mentioned.

I think you should build a boost motor or an NA motor, don't try to do both. Either build it for big boost (8:1 compression or so) or build it to make wicked NA power (10.5:1+). Don't try to do both, IMO.

As to what you'll need, deep pockets are the first thing. Lots of time if you plan to do it yourself.

Is it a 6 speed or auto?

Actually, there is very much dependent upon the answers you seek.

Truth is, that you don't just go build a XXX hp / *** torque engine

(unless you're an Engineer or the like)

What are your driving style, abilities, experience, goals?

Do you really know what your car will actually do ?

wanna do a really cool mod? install an entry level Nitrous kit, Hawk Black pads/ ATE , and go play on a mountain road....

yeah, uh that's 350 or so to the ROAD.

got more brass? go try a NASCAR / Andretti experience these are 5-600 HP track monsters...
good luck unleashing one of these without spinning out in that controlled environment

anyway the ole adage "there's no substitute for cubes" has been replaced...

boost makes the 4 banger become an 8 and the SB become a BB.
an entry level SC kit will smoke a stroker any day (actually my old destroked SB smoked alot of 383's try a search for DEstroked SBC's

oh, Destroked SB's are especially suited for high r's, just like forced induction, so long as you dont meet VE

I would rather go with more FI than cubes, and it is a six speed, the car is my main transportation, I don't drive to work so it's not a DD, but close, and once there is something under the hood I would like to drag it. One question VE?
