Injector into Manifold Question
I'm helping a friend replace his fuel injectors into his 90 vette. After removing we noticed about 1/4(maybe a touch more) of the "lip" that the o-ring seats below is missing on one of the injector ports.Now all injectors have been replaced,have the rails back on,and no leaks.So,since it's been like this for awhile should he leave it alone. The injector seem tight in the hole,etc. Thanks

are you saying that 1/4" of the manifold casting is missing? I'd wonder were it went (thru the intake, into the cylinder, no doubt). But since it's still running, with no problems, you got lucky. You can confirm no air leaks with ether starting fluid. With engine running, spray a quick shot at the base of the injector. If the idle rises, there's a leak.
