Default Oil Leak is gone!!!!

Okay, I went through the pain of not reading, then reading instructions. GMs manual said add RTV (Right Stuff) in four corners of block where pan meets the block, Felp Pro says not needed . But Fel Pro doesnt know "Steves" Vette.
First gasket , GM, no sealant, leaked.
Second, Fel Pro, no sealant, leaked.
Third, Old Used Fel Pro that leaked, with Right Stuff sealant, sealed up and dry as bone.
Anyways, I will forever use sealant when I put a pan gasket on.
Now, I am sure I will have more leaks, or future leaks, knock on wood, but a lesson learned.

Was this a one piece seal? I have a leaky pan gasket that is the one piece and I reinstalled without sealant, wondering if sealant will seal it?

If you have a one piece oil pan gasket and install it with the Right Stuff at the four corners of your pan, you should not leak at all.

Somebody was telling me about a new gasket stuff that people are using and replacing vc gaskets and just using. I wonder if this is it.

Congrats! Glad mine was done right the first time with copper RTV silicone and Felpro gasket.

I've logged more than 100,000 miles on it and no leaks yet. The Rite Stuff is excellent, too!
