Mama always told my if I abused it I would go blind, and now my Vette has no lights. During my 383 build up the batterey was connected/disconnected so many times I was ready to put velcro on it. Now, when I turn the headlights on, they go to a half open position and shine light directly on the floor under the car. I have tried dieconnecting and re-connecting the batterey, but it doesn't seem to help. My GM service manual doesn't say anything about this. Any help out there? Anything I am missing? All help is appreciated and remember- Mother really does know what she is talking about. Oh well at least the acne cleared up!

If you can crank them to full open, then turn on switch and turn off.
I think that most times when you have gear problems, you will hear the motors running with the light not moving. If you motors turn off when the lights stop, it may be an orientation problem. There are limit switches or the funcionally equivalent in the system. Light may think it is fully open
If this doesn't help, someone smarter than me will be along shortly
