My '92s basically stock except for a Hypertech chip and K&N filter. I bought a stock '94 that has the mufflers taken off, and I like the sound. I'm going to remove them soon from the '92, and I was thinking about an "X" pipe too, but I really don't know if there's anything to it. Other than the muffler removal, the exhaust system is completely stock. The shop who's doing the muffler removal is pretty inexpensive, and comes with glowing recommendations and the capability to do both operations.
Is the "X" pipe worth my money? If so, at what point in the exhaust system should it be installed? And are there any other things I should know about it?
Check out my previous thread at the link below. I'm wondering if maby they couldnt replace the resonator for an x pipe because of the x-brace on the convertible.
