Anyone ever replace these? My steering column bushiungs mustbe going. I can take my steering wheel and move it about an inch and a half from , approximately, 2 O'Clock to 7 postion.
How many miles on the car? There is an intermediate shaft with a universal joint that couples the end of the steering column shaft to the steering rack. Check to make sure the bolts are tight at the couplings on each end of the imtermediate shaft. Check for play in the universal joint. Have your steering rack checked. This much play would imdicate to me an imminent failure and it needs to be fixed before you drive the car again.
It doesnt move more than an one inch guys, I am sorry. I was referring to the 2-7 position it moves. I have had the rack replaced before to fix it as it was cheaper. But that was on the mainland. I just dont remember if you can just do the bushiings.

Cool, if you could take a picture or ask the mechanic what part and where he ordered it. I really need to fix this.
