Default ATI Balancer

I am having a lot of problems.
I have ordered 3 harmonic balancers in the past 2 weeks, the first two that arrived were not for my application, one was an ATI and the other a Fluidampr. The third I got today and it does not look right to me.
It is an ATI super damper part #ATI-917269.
I am building a 1994 Corvette LT1 engine to go in my 94 vette, and the balancer is for this engine.
The new balancer looks like the Hub that fits on the crankshaft is too long by 1.0 - 1.5 inches.
Anybody else have this problem? If so, what is the fix?
I found out through research that Fluidampr does not make one for my application so I have ruled them out as a source.
Seems to me like I have seen some discussion about hubs being different on the Lt1s, but I am not finding any information that is helpful.
Thanks everybody.

I have successfully used a Fluidampr on my 93 LT1 rebuild. I will have to double check the partnumber. I eliminated the hub and used an underdrive pulley. I keyed the crankshaft but it shouldn't matter as everything is neutral balanced. I can't remember if I went Edelbrock or March for the pulley. I also had a friend machine a small spacer/cap to give the crank bolt something to bite, as well as get the pulley out in line with the serpentine belt. Had to change belts too. Can't remember the application but I went to Autozone and kept trying Goodyear Gatorbacks until we found one that fits right.

Oh and I believe the hub on 96 LT1/4 was different to allow for a reluctor ring on the crank snout. The sensor wasn't actually used for timing information, something about misfire if I recall. I believe all other corvette LT1's are the same hub.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen, but no bananna.
I called ATI, and now I am even more confused.
First, the facts.
It is an engine out of a 1994 Corvette LT1. (4 bolt mains)
The hub that I removed from the engine is 3.520 inches long. This is the hub only.
The hub ATI sent for this application measures 4.865. As you see, something here is not right.
ATI says for the 1994 LT1 vette, I should have the 4.865 hub.
They have a hub that measures 3.520, but they insist it is for a 199?-1994 Camaro.
So they keep tellling me I have a Camaro engine, but I know that it is a Corvette engine.
Could it be that GM has done some unusual thing here and used 94 Camaro parts on the 94 Corvette?
Any other Ideas???

the ATI would not fit mine without extensive modification I went with a stock one.http://www.ventureproducts.com/catalog1382.html
$235 vs over $300 for GM it was better balanced too. No excess drilling or weights.

I own a 92 Corvette. I am currently having a 396 shortblock built and I ordered an ATI damper Part #917269 which is 7.5" in diameter. Now I realize there is another part #917275 which is 6.75" in diameter.

Will either part work? I believe the stock damper is 7".

Will I have to use a different size belt? Do the double sided belts even come in different sizes?

I have a 92 Corvette with a modified 385 in mine... the part number I have is 917274. Norris Motorsports did the work.

You can change to a single sided belt.I believe the idler pulley has to be replaced with a smooth one.I have read of this being done.

That sounds like an interesting mod. The double sided belt is kinda odd.

Where would I buy a smooth idler pulley?
