Default torque converter install

Help Please!!!
I'm going to install a new converter this weekend to get rid of that dreaded shudder. My problem is I've never install a new on before and need a little advice.
First when seating the converter in the transmission how will I know that it is fully seated? Is there a measurement?
Second should I add fluid to the converter before installing and if so how much??

Thanks

The convertor should seat back on the trans further than it's final position .When you rotate it you will feel it engage the drive lugs and drop back towards the trans.
When you have every thing bolted up, the convertor usually has to pulled foward a fraction to bolt up to the flexplate.
When removing trans ,wire convertor in place so it does not slip foward and spill fluid every where.
As far as install I put as much fluid in the converter that will stay in when lifted vertical to mount on trans.
