Anyone ever heard of an eletric autometer fuel pressure gauge taking a crap? Mine seems to lose power and when it has power is pegging out! I checked the power at the sender and at the gauge and it checks out. In fact I'm getting the proper readings in terms of volts from the purple and gray wires at idle(equals 42 psi). The light still works and there is no intermittent wire going to the gauge, 12v all the time baby.
Thoughts on what to do now? a new one will run me 210
My autometer electric fuel pressure gauge quit working this summer....went to all the parts stores looking to buy the gauge only....no way would they sell it seperatly....soooo I called the manufacture..no way would they sell one seperatly .....there calabrated to the sending unit, they said send it to them and they will fix it....dam what a hassel I was thinking...so I did.....they sent me a brand new set....no charge, no questions asked !.....I bought it on ebay it was four years old.........call autometer and talk to the tech department........look there address and phone number on a search engine I can't remember..........top rate company
by the way the tech department will talk you through some gauge tests in order to determine weather it's the gauge or sending unit.
