I am trying to link up my TTS datamaster to my 93 Vette, and it keeps trying but not linking. I looked through the TTS datamaster help section and they go into the serial port section . Last time I recieved help on the forum, which I searched for but couldnt find, and someone told me to change the port configuration in COM Port setting under device manager. ANy ideas?
For my lap top I use Com 1 and that is all I have to configure in TTS
Under Windows Device manager the Com port set up is:
Baud rate 9600
Databits 8
Parity None
Stop bits 1
Hardware flow control None (Xon/Xoff should work as well)
Got it working, now I need to get it to link every time. It seems to lose the COM port after turning the computer on/off.
Steve,
It sounds like you have somthing screwed up with the device driver for the com port in windows. Try removing the com port by deleting it out of windows all togeather and rebooting. To get to it go to control panel, system, click te hardware tab, device manager, Ports (Com&LPT), highlight "com 1", right click and select uninstall, then rebbo the machine. It should find the comport on boot up
