Master Cylinder stuck?

Hello,

I just put a new (not rebuilt) brake master cylinder on my '92 A4 and noticed when I took it for a short spin that the brakes were not fully releasing.

My brakes were VERY hot by the time I got it back home...

Is there a way to get that master cylinder vacuum to loosen up without taking it back off? Is it possible that something else could be causing the lock-up? (I checked the parking brake...)

Any help would be appreciated.

gee... that's odd.

So the pads are not retracting? That sounds like caliper troubles. I would release the pressure at the caliper and see what happens.

How many miles on the calipers?
