There are no screens. What you can touch is the actual LCD. If they are hard to read the LCD's are probably burned (requiring replacement- and I havent seen anyone selling LCD's new, just offering a service at $100 each plus labor) The colored part is in the background and if you take the cluster apart you will see it.
Do a search on eBay. There is someone on there selling new ones for around $79 for each LCD panel. Look closely at the pics on the auction site, as they do differ slightly from year to year.
Then go here to find out how to replace them. You can very easily damage them if not installed correctly in the housing.
