Default Turned up the boost wow.

I have been driving my car with 6-7psi of boost. It pull pretty good, but today I turned up the boost to 14psi it sounded so good from 10psi and up. 14psi on pump gas car is awsome. I need big brakes for the car because I can't stop it fast enough under a hard wot. The first rear mount turbo with a lot frustration but we slowly worked out thge bugs and many revision on the chip and I start to like it a lot. It will hit full boost by 2nd gear. 3rd gear and 4th gear is my favorite. It scary fast but I love it.

I have a datamaster log I can post. I saw 18+ psi with it last weekend Iat was only 148 F max That was after at least 8 back to back boost runs. the first pass the Iat at (over 200 kpa) It was ony 120's. My buddy weighs 320+ I weight 210, and the car weighs 3800. So according to data master it's makin over 800. Pm your adress if you'd like to take a look.

As soon as I can talk bruce into taking a wed or fri off work (call in sick, hehe) The only other problem is crankcase pressure. It's makin oil push out of the valvecover (from under the coilpack). So bruce is going to build a bracket to get it off the valve cover and allow the factory bolts to be reinstalled The problem is the hardware/sheetmetal bracket that comes with the delteq doesn't hold the valve cover sequrely enough. That will take care of an oil leak. Also the oilfeed on top of the thumper needs to come off and be re-teflon'd
bruce is beginning to understand why I went drysump.
1-5% leakdown doesn't seem like much, but 1-5% of 80lbs/min of airflow is a helluva lot to remove from the crankcase/oil suspension.
My machineshop guy runs a top alcohol altered. he makes 2500+ ponies, and on the dyno it shoots oil up out of a 5 foot tall breather.
Just the hassle of FI. I hope the drysump system has sufficient volume/pump capacity to keep me in vacuum. I CANT STAND OIL LEAKS!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!
wheew. I feel better thanks.

Dammit bruce get your priorities straight.. whats all this nonsense talk about work coming before big boosted runs at the track or nasty race gas runs on the dyno.. you should be ashamed of yourself.. lol

congrats guys sounds like you have it dialed in.. the crank case situation happens.. thought about running a vacuum pump activated by boost? may do some good for ya!

The turbo is a large frame 85mm. At 7psi it still sleeping you can hear a very low whistle . At 10-14psi is just start to waking up and you can hear it real good. The turbo should run 25psi to get in super sweet spot.

Bruce, Im going to come over at 2:30pm today. I need to plug john's ec,m into your car to see if it's fried. No matter what I do it reports a 142deg coolant temp and dumps fuel. Thats murphy's law in full effect. I put 100mi on it remapping the fuel for the heads/cam. As soon a give it back to him all hell breaks loose. I'll call on my way over.
Goldcrest electronics hs the 36v zener Diode I need to fix the megasquirt

keep up the good work, you give us all hope. BTW, picked up a 6 stage weiss for the LT5 on e-bay this weekend. fits the stock LT5 specs almost exactly. 9.0 gpm at 7K runs at 50% crank speed. formerly from hendricks motorsports and recently refreshened. adjustable pressure too. after runnign 22-25psi into my 2.2L turbo dodges I know too well what blow by is. I used to run a dual channel breather that fed from the valave cover AND the dip stick tube jsut to keep the bottom of my hood clean
