Brake Rattle Driving me Nuts!!!!!!!
Does anyone know where to get front disk anti rattle clips for a 1990? Are the clips included when you buy new pads? I have never changed the brakes yet so I have no idea what is included. I am going crazy with every bump I hit!!!!!!!!!!!!

The clips slip over the ends of the pads to keep the pads firmly locked into position within the caliper bracket. They come on some pads and you might need to purchase them separately with others. I believe they come on the Auto Zone Z pads.
Also you should put a damping pad behind the outer pad or spread a thin layer of anti rattle gel over the back of the pad. I used black RTV for this purpose but there is a specific gel available in auto parts stores. Some pads come with the damping pad in the box, ready to be applied to the back of the pad.

I got mine from Advance on line.Same problem fixed.Some brakes come with them some don't.It might be a good time to do the pads as long as you have the caliper off if needed.
