I guess the question that is burning in my mind is this: Do you need a bigger pan?

I know the Canton is very popular... lower profile, with windage trays and traps to keep the oil where it needs to be.

I have a summit 7qt pan. Fits just fine on my 86, but one thing that is convenient to know. For pulling and putting in the motor, it slides right in....unless you are doing it will the tranny attatched, in which case it won't clear the frame motor mounts!

Is that the one that is enlarged to the sides instead of down ? How's the ground clearance ? Stock exhaust and starter fits okay ? Thanks for info ! Scott
