Default AIR Pump

I'm getting a loud noise from what I think is called a AIR pump (uses a common bracket with alternator). Since it is noisy, I'd like to replace it. As I look through Corvette parts catelogs (Zip and Mid- America), the only thing that seems close is a smog pump. Does anyone know if these are one and the same. I'd hate to guess and order the wrong part.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes they are considered the same. The cheapest way is to go to your NAPA parts store and buy a rebuilt one. I think mine was around 59.00.

Default A.I.R Pump

Thanks for your help and advice.
Looks like I can save some money if I buy it from NAPA.
Regards,
Bill

I kept running into that problem several times no matter if it was new or rebuilt. I decided to get rid of it altogether and bought a air pump delete bracket with a pulley on it. Cleans up the engine bay and looks good as well. I bought it from Dragons Breath Performance here off the forum.
