Default OptiSpark Vacuum Kit???

I know about the Opti and its shortcomings, so I purchased an "OptiSpark Vacuum Kit" from zipcorvette.com It came with no directions, so my question is , :How the heck to do I install it?(I have a '92, don't know if Opti is original, recall replacement, etc.)

wow. that's the GM kit.

IT's rather easy, really...

You need to get the opti off the car, then one hose is attached to a fitting that is glued to the opti cap, then the other end is fitted to the bottom drain/vent holes.

Finally, one end, the blue bit, goes to the intake tube, and the other, a space on the intake manifold.

If I remember rightly, the air goes from the intake tube, into the opti, out of the vent, into the manifold.

Look at my pics I have one done in there.Corvette Fever has the right up on it.You can either drill a hole in the gen I cap and glue a fitting (I do not recommend it)or get a 95 gen II cap like I did.

Here is the small version

The holes have to be drilled out to get the vacuum fittings in then JB welded and siliconed.

that is not surprising... your original opti saw less rain in it's 195k miles then my Vette did in one year!!!!
