Turn signal fuse keeps blowing!!!!!!!
It all started when my 85 coupe's far driver side brake light went out. It went several months before I decided to get it fixed. In the mean time, (about 3 weeks ago) the fuse started blowing. I couldn't imagine how or if the blown out light could affect it, but I went on ahead and had the light changed out to see if that would cure the problem. Now previously, the fuse would blow within a few minutes of putting it in. After changing the light out, however, it went almost over a week, but did blow. Probably just a coincidence, so does anyone have any ideas where this could be shorting out or if there are any other problems that could cause it????

You need a schematic and a DVM.
Start by checking the wiring under the dash. If there is some chaffing there, all bets are off.
Check the sockets. Once they get rusty, all bets are off.
The wiring of pre-91 Vettes is a potential problem... they are not as durable, more prone to cracking and insulation related failures.
