LT1 oil pump drive breakage?
Has anyone seen or heard of any catastrophic failures involving the LT1's plastic oil pump drive housing? I do have one of those aluminum piggyback retainers and an ARP driveshaft.
Will high RPM + HV oil pump = SNAP! ?

Who makes an aluminum drive retainer? Are you sure it's aluminum? Mine is from More Performance but it's steel. Anyhow, I also have a hardened shaft w/ the steel coupler and have never had any problems w/ high RPM usage. Flog it, man!
