Ok, so I'm not going for concourse stock. Has anyone had experience with wood grain products, dash, console, etc. Which would you suggest.

To stay away....personal experience.... thrill lasted awhile,then replaced all dash and console pieces... not a cheap investment both times...

Mine has had the rosewood kit, like the one in the Mid America cat. It was on when I bought the car and is 5-6years old and still looks new. Most here don't like them, but I like it with certain color combos.

My car had the light wood kit on the dash, doors and front speakers when I bought the car. I sold the entire kit on Ebay to a guy in Canada for over $100! The kit was in decent shape with a few frayed corners. He thought it was great.

I don't like them unless they really hug the dash. Most of them are around 1/4" thick, (maybe a little less) and just look goofy on the car. I will say my dad has a kit in his red metalic 87 with tan interior and it looks terrific!

If you do it, make sure it goes with the overall color of your car and you don't over do it. Stick with just the dash and consol, not the doors and speakers and A pillars and cargo hatches and seat backs, etc....

Looking at your avitar, I'd suggest the grey wood, (Ash color?) or maybe the carbon fiber. That is if you have the grey interior. This might blend in nicely with your grey interior. GL

Pay shipping I'll send you a used kit - 1/4 inch thick fairly light colored - pretty good shape - dash and door panels - I got it as a throwin along with some dash pieces - I'm looking to go to brushed aluminum.

Okay, important consideration for Valkryder...

When you buy a dash kit, you are probably going to be looking for 12 pieces. In my opinion, installing all 12 pieces will make ANY corvette look like crud. You need to be "picky" about which ones you do install, since you're just looking for an accent.
Even Bentleys don't put wood EVERYWHERE, you need to just pick your spots. My suggestion is to replace the two big center console pieces, the two trim pieces that come out from the center console to the doors, and the lid over your cup holders. Everything else (particularly your instrument cluster!) should remain black. I don't know if there is a kit that only includes those pieces, but there should be. This is my design sense talking.

edit: actually on the driver side the trim piece is two seperate pieces. I just checked the ZIP catalog and they don't have those available.

Default Consideration accepted;

You are correct. Even the exotics don't use that much wood. They are very particular in where it is placed as well. Your design sense sounds good to me.

Thanks.

sadly i was unable to find a dash kit that includes the trim pieces that extend from center console to doors. UGH... I might have to leave the stickers in place.
