i have 91 383 auto. i am running about 12 to 1 on air to fuel. my timing is at 5 degrees advanced. when i hit the nos it goes to like 9 to 1. when my timing was higher the car had more *** to it. should i get more timong or leave it for the nos. how far advanced can i run the timing with out a problem for my 125 shot?
What you need to look for is your knock... It will tell you how much you can running terms of timing, your fuel is probably about right...
If you dont you should get like a tunercat oging program and start at partial throttle runs an lg them, look at your knock , O2's, and advance... Your fuel sound close... advance you timing until you start to see knck then back off a degree or so... I'm pulling about 11.5 pounds of boost , my timing total advance is about 25 degrees... and running between 12- 12.4 target AFR
