Shift Light

I have a 1987 automatic Vette.

What controls the shift light and can I change it to come on at WOT.

I'm not sure. I asked this question several months ago and never received a reply. I have an automatic transmission with 3:73 gears. The tach runs approximately 800 - 900 RPM's high, and the speedometer is approximately 8 mph fast at 60mph. The shift lite typically comes on when the speedo reads around 75mph (with the transmission in OD), but it doesn't do this all the time (sporadically). I know I can change the gear to correct the tach and speed, but I don't know if that will take care of the shift lite problem also.

Hope someone posts more info on this
