Security System Buggered Up - Help
I'm posting for an ex-cop friend (he didn't steal the car) in Bristol VT who can't get his '89 running due to "something weird with the security system." What's the drill with a problem like this? Flatbed to the dealer? Or is there a "mechanic's plug" to disable the system? Can an alarm guy do any good? My bet is the key isn't talking to the ignition, 'cause it ran when parked, but I'm in L.A. and what do I know.
Any help greatly appreciated.

ttt, I know it's fairly simple, but can't quite remember-JFB usually responds to this problem. Something about putting a resistor between
two wires. Sorry, I have an after market so I don't worry about it.
