I think a least a few months. It had acover over it. One tire is flat. The brake rotors have some rust on them. I haven't heard her run yet. My concern would be if she hasn't been started in 6 months and the gas/ oil just sat. What is the worst possible damage and about how much would it cost to get fixed. The car only has around 40,000 miles on it. The father told me his son starts the car on sundays but i don't think he drives it or has driven it in a while. Whats the absoulte worst case expenses wise. Roough guess so i can firgure a price.
The absolute worst case is it needs brakes, tranny, engine, shocks, radiator, heater core, abs system, tires, weatherstripping, airbags, carpet, it has dryrotted seat foam, the ac compressor, is shot, on a hot day the interior smells like puke and old people, it was flood damaged and the electrical system is corroding.....etc
To see if it is worth 9K you will have to drive it and or check it out. Remember there are a bunch of Corvettes out there and the right one for you exists. Take a breath and slow down. Usually a project costs double of what you plan on. So once again I suggest that you check out any car thoroughly prior to purchase.

6mo of sitting should not hurt anything. It is the long term sitting that can dry seals out.Rust on the calipers is normal after sitting a few weeks especially if it was put away wet.I see rusty calipers at the dealer.
So nothing you have said so far indicates any problems not to say there may not be some.Find someone to look at it with you.

Thats is basically what I told him on his other thread on the same car.
Treeska you have a really bad case of C4 fever, I hope you slow down and get the car of your dreams.

No offence I listed it on to spots because I wasn't sure which one to place it on and wasn't sure if anyone was up on the site. Is there a way to tell when people are on the site?

I am not taking offense I think it is neat seeing how bad you have the fever. I just want you to buy a C4 with both eyes open. Getting the right car is a great experience, and getting the wrong one is a dismal experience.
Most of the C4 is straight up GM ie motor, tranny etc. The Corvette only parts are what will kill your budget, ie interior parts, weather stripping, FX3 actuators etc. So a couple of grand cheaper is cool if the expensive stuff is ok. However, if you have to buy shocks, weatherstripping and an interior your better off starting a couple of K higher in the C4 price-chain unless your building a drag car or a rat ride.
You should be able to get a nice 95 vert for about 12-13 K so if this one needs work, take the price of the needed work multiply by 2 and add that to the purchase price then you will know if it is a good deal or not.

If this isn't wise advice, I haven't ever seen any. It could be wrong...by maybe $500 or $1,000. But it's not boatguy who's gambling...
He's being very gentle and I think someone's thread on what to check (HotRod90?) is exhaustive, but really accurate.
So, tell us: who besides you is going to check out this car?
