Default 1988 heads

I went to get some new spark plugs and the store listing had two different plugs listed for the 88 350. One for aluminum heads and a different one for iron heads.
How does one tell which you have? Which models used aluminum vs iron?

If you have an 88 corvette, you have the aluminum '113 heads.
Camaro/Firebird got the iron.

A magnet works.

I have an 86 and was under the assumption that mid-early 86 is when they switched to Aluminum from Iron mine has iron and the valve covers have perimiter bolting as the later Aluminum heads had bolt in the center of the valve cover. Stick a magnet on the head and see if it sticks. Being an 88 and if all stock I would have to imagine it is Aluminum. Just my thoughts.
