I read that you can hookup a wbO2 system with a analog output to it and it will control you AFR.
This sounds very tempting. Anyone know how well this works with the MAF L98 vettes ?

From what I get out of it it uses a MAP sensor and creates a replacement signal for the MAF sensor that you would no longer need. Wonder what the factory ecm would think about that .Probably set the maf codes at least ?
I also saw a note that said to run the factory ecm in open loop for the wbO2 or they fight each other.
Check the full throttle site http://www.fullthrottletech.com/forumdisplay.php?f=43

Seems like a hack way of doing things, when you can just repin your MAF harness to use MAP and the factory 730 ECM. Also, there is a patch out (F Body.org) to allow the ECM to use input from a WB...again just a plain old stock GM ECM.
And if you want to go boosted, there is the 749 ECM conversion.
The MAF sensor isn't the real restriction...its the code in the ECM and if you use something like a translator you loose resolution and driveability.

I would consider going that way if I was planning to never sell.
This seems like it would be easier to install/remove and it can set the AFR to whatever you want. Tunes itself using a wide O2. All the wbO2 hacks do that I see are log the wbO2.
I looked at the 808 code that even uses the same ecm thats in my 86 when I had an intermittent MAF sensor.http://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/show...hreadid=112882
Anyway I was wondering if anyones trying it and how well did it work ?
For now she is MAF. Staying that way ? .
