Default QA1 Shock Problems/Sizes

I did a search on QA1's and saw that a lot of people are having leaking issues. I also read a post that said these are not recomended for lowered cars. I have a lowered 88. I measured both shocks at ride height:
Front - From bottom T to center of bushings = 13.25"
Rear - From center of center bolt hole to center bolt hole = 13.25"
I also called QA1 and they said that the 88-96 shock they offer measures the following compressed/extended lengths:
Front - 10.22" - 15.31"
Rear - 9.45" - 14.5"
He said that the fronts are fine, and the rear's "should be ok". I have my doubts, especially after reading all of the leaking shock issues. I would only have 1.25" to spare before topping out.

I asked the QA1 rep to reccomend another size for the rear, but he didn't know. Can anyone help me figure out what size or part # I need???
Thanks!!!

Triple Black,

I found that the 5855's work fine for me... I originally had the 4855's on the rear and they were too short... I have my car set at 27.5 from the ground to the center of the fenderwell in the rear... I'm using 4855's in the front with no issues...

Please feel free to visit my website under coil overs I list the parts I used, now they may be slightly different on your 88 .

hope this helps...

Mo
