I absolutely love this front end. I see a big fat intercooler tucked behind that big opening. I'm thinking I may need to take the Sawsall to the fibergalss. I would like to do some mild road race with my turbo car and it requires a big intercooler and lots of flow. Anybody got any ideas?
This should help! There are a few on this board that know about this "kit", but I don't think it is available. Go figure!!! As a rule I am not into body kits, but I think this one is doable. lol
Yeah, I believe that was a kit for ZR1 Vettes only made by Lingenfelter. I just went to their site and they no longer list the kit on there. I suppose you could fit the front to a non-zr1 Vette. Also later into production the rear fascia no longer had the words Lingenfelter inscribed into it
There are member on here who do have that kit, Im sure they be glad to provide you with the engine and body specs....
Kit is still available, but you have to call. Wait time is 2-4 weeks last time I talked to them. Front will fit any C4 while the rear will only fit the ZR-1.
I feel like the newer body kits without Lingenfelter on the rear valance can be sectioned to narrow them to fit a non-ZR1 coupe. The side valance might be the hard thing to fit to a non-ZR1 because they flare out to the rear. I have to say that this kit is the cleanest I've seen.
I don't love the centered exhaust, and the rear spoiler or wing thing I would have to see in person to make a decision about. All I really want is the hood and the front bumper facia. What happened to the "bumber" inside the facia? Did Lingenfelter make reinforcements?
How about under the hood, actually the underside of the hood. That thing shines more than the outside of the car. That's impressive. I really like the nose. I think it would look great with an intercooler sitting in there with a corvette symbol stenciled on it.
This Z is on the forum, his screen name is A26B. I bought the original wheels off of this car and have them on my '86. He did a very good job on this car. I got to see it before it was painted or before most of the mods were done for that matter. It is a very nice ride!
