AFR Heads with both Valve Cover Patterns

I have the AFR heads with both 85/86+ valve cover bolt mounting paterns. Currently, I have the 85 valve covers but just aquired the 86 covers. What hardware do I need -just the mouting bolts? Do I only need to remove the drip tabs in order to fit the roller rockers (comp stainless)?? TIA

Don't know about 85 heads sorry on the 90's trim the drip edges, but I went ahead and bought the proforms from GM perf.
