When I sold my '91 it had 206,000 on the original clutch. But I autocrossed it only a few times a year, and drag raced only at stop lights.
Well this clutch now has 209K and still holding. Hi l1sikes, I'm the guy who bought your red 91 L98. BTW, Love the car and it was a pleasure doing bussiness with you.
I know I should change the clutch soon but I am going to wait till I drop in the new engine. Maybe this spring.
The heck with the clutch at 54000 my dual mass flywh$$l just bite the dust
yeah my Dual Mass warped at 70k and caused it to slip thats why i needed one... What would cause the FW to warp like that... I went with the Fidanza Alum and the carolina clutch stage 3 clutch pack. it was tricky at first but i got it down.
This is kind of like asking "How long is a rope?" It all depends. Someone that's good with a clutch and does not race or anything can indeed make the clutch outlast the rest of the car.
For the person, on the other hand, that is not good with a clutch and is abusing the car constantly, the life could probably measured in hours.
