Default Can't get "crimp" clamp

I've checked w/my local dealer and they can't get, for my '89, the clamp that joins the pipe that runs up from the cat conv. to the check valve for the AIR system that is next to the right exh. manifold. A friend of mine called it a "crimp" clamp. Any ideas on how to attach the pipe and valve?

Ha, I could never get the damn thing off no matter how hard I tried. It's still dangling on there. I pounded a bolt into the air tube to block it off.

I think they might also be called pinch clamps, if that helps.

That's a pretty ghetto fix Kevin.

I had to take a grinder to it to get mine off. I've used regular a hose clamp with good results.

If you're just trying to "join" the pipe and the gap is less than an inch, you can probably get by with a Swagelok union compression fitting; I believe its 1/2" tubing from the main cat to the air pump.
I had to do this on my 89 when the shop that replaced my cat just used a strip of Dr. Pepper soda can and hose clamps.

I tried a budweiser can on my rear Y pipe, it doesn't withstand the heat too well. I think that's why beer is served cold.

Sounds like the right sort of thing...and the pipe OD is what you said (1/2"). I did a Google search and couldn't find it easily. Any tips on how/where to get one?

Any hardware store; Home Depot, Lowe's.... should have them.
Just ask for 1/2" union compression fitting. Swagelok is just a trade name.
If the gap is too wide for the fitting, then you will need 2 fittings and a section of 1/2" tubing for a sectional patch. I was fortunate enough that mine only had a 1/2 inch gap.

If you are talking about this crimp ring:

I got a new one in the box with my Random Tech hi flow cat that I bought from TPIS. I know TPIS sells the EGR crimp ring, they might sell this one as well.

yes, I'm almost certain that it's the same clamp on the other end. Thank you!

The clamp at the lower end of the AIR tube (at the cat) is smaller than the one at the top end (at the EGR tube).
