Default 1996 records

I have a 1996 auto I'm looking at the car has 40,000 on it, What larger items should I want to see service records for. Anything that in 96 went bad or always needs replacing. Please explain and give the formal names for the parts. I'm new to corvette's and I don't know if the seller will be able to tell me unless she reads it off a receipt. If you have an I dea how much these items will cost ot fix that would be great.

generally the optispark distributor was one, they run about 300 dollars, the other thing is occasionally the intake manifold would leak requiring the manifold to be pulled and new gaskets put in... with 40,000 miles on the car I would say you should be n pretty good shape...

I have a 1996 A4 with just over 100000 miles on the clock and still have all origional major parts still in tact. The Opti spark, Water pump, fuel pump and transmission are the main items that I can expect to be changed out in the near future. At 60000 miles, you have a long way to go.
