I was planning on buying a Vigilante 2800 but a Pro-Torque poped up in the classifieds. Anyone have any experience with these. Everyone that i have spoke with so far has praised the Vig. but i havn't heard much on the Pro-Torque.
Dave, I have a 3000 yank. With et streets I can get 1.70' 60 ft times and occasionally a high 1.6 I talked to Dave at Yank performance and he said with a hotcam and a low gear 4.09 that I should have more like a 3600-4000. I do know my 3000 is flashing to about 2300-2400 rpm and im doing 4mph at 2700-2800 rpms according to my datamaster scans. It was explained to me that the stall speed is more or less a suggested speed. The actual stall speed is dependent on the torque your car is making, weight, and gear ratios. I dont know if this info is of any use to you but I wanted to throw it out there to you anyways.
I have both... The protourqe is for sale if you want it.. Lock up clutch is shot.. about 5k miles on it. Vigiante is staying with me.. Good unit. It has the 5 disc lock up.
well i just purchased a used pro-torque so we'll see what happens. i'll put that in when i get the d44 with 4.10's at the end of next month and then we'll see how she performs.
