95 LT1 when I parked it a couple of weeks ago in the garage it ran great. Attempted to start it today and I had to keep cranking. Finally it statred, the "service soon" light came on. I drove it and it runs fine but when I shut it down and try to start it back up, it takes quite a bit of cranking before it will start. The only code that it is showing is H36, when I use the "paperclip" in the ADL trick!. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but at the same time my AC compressor will not kick on. The fans work but no cold air. I checked the appropriate fuses and all are good The car has 10,000 miles on it. By the way I replaced the Opti Spark approx. 1,000 miles ago. I don't understand, the car ran fantastic when I parked it a few weeks ago!! Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Mark
I keep attempting to clear by way of disc. the battery for a minute, than I get the usual c12 followed by a series of --- , than "H"36. This is the only code. Once I do get it started, why than does it run great, until I shut it down and attempt to restart? Minus the AC not working. Would this problem be a reflect upon my AC comp. not turning. I did all the work myself, I was pretty proud to have done it, now this. I hope it is not The OPTI again. I purchased a genuine GM OPTI. I even installed a Mezire electric H20 pump and front seal while I was at it. Please don't tell me I have to do this all over again. It has only been a few months ago! If it is not the Opti, what else????????? I always felt good when I could loan some info. and help to a Forum Member. It seems like it goes both ways! Thanks for your concern

Any resolution to this? I have the exact same symptoms as you. I see code 36 is a fault to bad ground. I have spent a tone of time checking grounds and all is fine. Im at a loss and no idea why the AC cut out too
