for a daily driver, its mostly disadvantages. if you intend on using your vette solely as an oval track racer, then go for it. i thoroughly despised it when it was in mine - had it yanked in favor of another (new) dual mass OE (Luk) FW......and have been smiles ever since.

Balancing
I had a Mcleod aluminum flywheel and dual disc clutch on my 90 road race car. A problem often over looked in this swap is balancing the new flywheel to match the removed dual mass flywheel. After my race engine was built I found out the new flywheel was not balanced when the new engine was balanced. I subsequently had problems with a leaking rear seal. Nothing you feel but I'm sure the non balanced flywheel effected the rear seal life. Something to ponder if your making the change.
