Default AFR headers rub #1 & #7

Question..... Whose headers work best with AFR Heads?
Heads = AFR 190 (SHVR) Small chamber, heat riser, Vette plugs (angle) bored to 195cc.
With current set of headers (MFG unknown) wires 1 & 7 rub on the boots.
Thanks.....

I have the TPIS headers on mine (AFR 195 heads) and don't have any clearance problems.

I ran the LPE 1 3/4" long tubes without any problems either. You may just have an oddball header on your hands. For some reason I think the heddman's may not fit (the $150 set from summit) but other than that I have never heard of clearance problems with the correct vette angle plug heads.

As long as they are indeed "Vette angle" and not their plain angle. It shouldn't happen, but it sounds like you got the plain angle.

You can still have some boot clarence issues with afr heads and tpis headers. I have to use boot protectors on #6 and especially on #7. It is an easily corrected item.
