Default Clutch ???

I have a 86 Vette with a 4+3 speed manual trans, recently I have noticed under hard acceleration my car revs real high but dosen't seem to move as fast as it should, I am certain that my clutch is slipping considering last night when this happened I stayed on the throtle for a while letting the engine rev high when I let off I could smell clutch.

Does anyone think I could be experiencing a different problem other than a clutch issue???

My question is for my car what replacement clutch options do I have???I would like to get a decent clutch considering I will be adding horespower to the car in the near future.

Thanks

Just went through the exact same thing in my 85 4+3 - A centerforce DF took care of that in a big hurry - she grabs tight and won't let go!

Of course, things just moved to the next weak link - after breaking in the clutch, I really launched her a few times and now there seems to be a new issue with one of the half-shaft u-joints...

It definitely sounds like your clutch is just about toast.

When I had my 4+3, I replaced my clutch with a Centerforce II set up. I was happy with it. I can't comment on the other brands because I never used them, but I'm sure you'll get some additional feedback.
