I did a few test runs in my vette using my laptop and datamaster...i plotted the records on the dyno graph and this is what i got...not sure what are the lines measure but i assume the thick red and blue lines are the hp/tq measurements? IS this RWHP or Crank?
I got mine calibrated in by dyno tuning my car.. seeing what the peak numbers wehre and matching them up by changing values in the TTS Datamaster dyno screen.
For what its worth.. do not the magnitude of those numbers into account.. Instead use it as a guage to see how your car has improved or changed after a modification.
Be aware that the results are subject to road grades, wind speed (aerodynamics should be close to the same), road types, temp, humidity, etc.
When I use it I do two simular 2nd gear pulls then export the data to csv and plot it with excel. Its really neat, infact I can show you what alcohol injection did on my car before and after from last friday
Here you go, again do not look at the magnitude in the numbers.. look at the change. In this case I can determine.. yes the car liked methonol and the timing added with it. Not very quantitative.. but thats what the real dyno is for.
This is Datamaster dyno exported to CSV plotted in excel.
I configured (by playing with weight) mine to match RWHP numbers of a dynojet dyno the same day I had mine on a real dyno. Its even got 20% for a drivetrain loss.. so its definately not very accurate.
AGAIN.. Don't look at the magnitude.. look at the differential
