It seems like a lot of the top engine builders use Manley stainless steel. Probably not the most economical choice, but they must be pretty tough. As for worn valves, not sure why that would be. I wonder if the valve springs are bouncing the valves off of the seats. What metal are the seats made of and what metal are the valves made of? Check out those Comp Cams bee hive valve springs, have read some really great things about those. Best of luck

It's not the seat it's the valve stem that is worn bad on just one valve. The others aren't so bad--just nicked at he edge.
I ordered those bee hive but my tuner says they are no good for LT1 stainless valves because of the weight.
I have never had a manley severe duty fail and I run those at 300# seat with .735ish lift on the street and also the track. Can't go wrong! The Ferreas are very good as well. Take your pic.

the manley valves are probably the heaviest valve out there. If you use the LT4 lite wieght valve, bee hive springs, AL rockers, and small dia push-rods (5/16 vs 3/8 vs 7/16) then you will be at the mecca for RPM potential.
