Default Will Roller Rockers Cause False Knock Detection?

Will roller rockers, because of their normal noise, cause the knock sensor to report a false knock on a L98? I've heard this will happen, but usually on an LT1 motor.
If so, should I just bypass the knock sensor and run 93 octane gas? Or replace sensor with new one?

The roller rockers on my '91 make noticeably more noise than the stock set up but don't seem to affect the timing at all. I don't have a scan to prove that but there seems to be plenty of smooth power throughout the entire RPM curve.

I remember reading that the early L98 knock sensors picked up false knock counts and you could stop it by changing to the later '91' knock sensor. I know some on the Forum have done this. However, I also remember reading that you should also change to the later control module also to do the 'conversion' right. It was one of Gordon Kilebrews tips if I remember correctly. I am not overly familiar with this, so maybe someone more up to speed will chime in and set me right.
