Default lt4 valve spring max lift

i always thought the max lift was .550"? i have seen i few people say its only good for .525"? which is correct? i stabbed a cc304 in my lt4 that i have yet to start and was wondering if i should change my springs? thanks

The 0.525" number is the correct one. You will not be able to use the LT4 springs with the cc304 and 1.6 RR. You'll be fine with 1.5 RR, but that defeats the purpose, plus it's cheaper to replace the springs.

I agree. Put some Beehives from compa cams in there. You shouldntneed any mods.

If you use the stock springs you will get coil bind and tear chunks out of your rockers on the under side (BTDT).
The bee hive's are cheap and rev up great.
