Default syclone intercooler

i was wondering if you could use a syclone intercooler on a corvette. its not very big and is made to fit a corvette throttle body. i was thinking of trying one on my setup. maybe modifying it a little, how much hp could it flow?

Ask them about HP capacity of the stock intercoolers.

Having a Syclone, I don't think I would try adapting that intercooler. Their is one truck running ~650 hp on one, but most goto air to air intercooler well before that. I typically get about 30-40 degree increase in MAT in a 1/4 mile run with about 350hp. The stock Syclone IC works best inaddition to running with alky injection, as you can get those down to ambient temps.

The opening to the IC is small (it would ave to neck down from Vortech outlet) and would be ackward to attach to an intercooler and you also need a lower heat exchanger, tubing and a pump.

I've actually got one for a customer's s/c application for a C3 but the more I look at it the more I think it would be too restrictive on his particular application. I'm thinking more heavily about gaseous intercooling right now... There's no simple place to install a air/air on a C3 though...

i waw thinking in at addition, i have an alky kit and was going to cut the small inlet off and weld on a 2.5 inch to fit the vortech. my question is. is the core too small to flow say 550-600hp on a v8

14.2psi on a absolutely untuned computer resulted 544rwhp 605rwt dyno thru ATI intercooler. For under 600rwhp the ATI IC should work nicely.
