in the ecklers catalog i see two products to increase air flow to the stock air box/radiator area.one is a front air dam that supposedly directs more air than stock to the air inlet area.the other is an air vent that takes the place of the license plate area(where it says corvette on the front of the car)and appears to have a straight shot to the air box.i have a cut airlid with an open k&n.are either of these products worth buying?if so which one have you guys used/recommend.thanks,george.
I have the Big Mouth Air Dam on my 94. Seems to help keep it a little cooler. Do an advanced search and you'll find a lot of threads about it. One even had a bunch of before and after stats. A few of the threads abbreviated it BMAD so try that too.
Don't buy it from Eckler's or Mid America though, go direct to Eric and get it. He's a good guy to deal with.
Remember that all of these passive intake pieces only work when the car is moving, they won't do mcuh, if anything standing still.
