Default 85 -Weird BLM readings

Have been fighting lean mixture problem and high oxides of nitrogin. Most of the problem was in the air pump system including the diverter and switching valve. I did get the integrator numbers within proper range. As I was viewing the BLM numbers with my Auto Xray as the engine was running the digets would start with 1 and increase to ,I think, 250 and then begin all over again. Would that be the scanner, or the ECM, or what. How can the integrator numbers be normal and the BLM so screwed up????? I also noticed that as soon as the engine goes into closed loop I get a lean flag mixture reading. No trouble codes, seems to run good. I need some help from a higher power than myself....
Thanks in advance.....

If you do a search, other people have reported problems with using an Autoxray with the 85 ecm.

I used Winaldl but I have converted to the 165 ecm so I use Tunerpro and Datamaster.

How did you get the different ecm to function with the 85 schmatics and wire loom? I'm not in that arena yet.

Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't had anyone indicate similiar problems with their Auto Xray. There's always tomorrow....

Here's how to adapt to the 165 ecm

870 to 165 Instructions

As I suggested earlier, use the search for 'autoxray 85' and you will find many people with the same problem.

I placed a search concerning the AutoXray on this forum with no replies to date. Where else would one place a search?

Thanks again

Use the 'Search' button at the top of the page. Go to the advanced search and select archive then highlight C4 Corvettes.

Oh...

Bit the bullet today and revisited the emission police on the chance that the integrater numbers were correct, 125 to o/a 135, and the BLM numbers 1 to 250 was a malfunction of the scanner. To my amazement the old 383-85 passed with flying colors. The culprit all along was the air pump system. The check valves, diverter and switch valves were defunct which was causing a high reading of oxides of nitrogin, a no pass.

Thanks again for your help and suggestions.

I get the same thing of the BLM #'s counting from 1 to 254 then restarting with WinALDL. I think it's an '870 ecm thing..

62k,
Did you replace all the divert valves? Why were they causing a lean condition? I think I may have a similar situation. Thx!

That is a "BLM count"...only ever seen it on the 870's. If you look at the scanned data you should see another BLM with numbers like your INT is showing.
