Is the F45 ride selection suspension on a 96 the same as the early C-5's. I think I might need the shocks replaced and can't find replacement parts. Any help would be great.
The 96 and early C5's use the same basic ride control system but the shocks won't interchange because of the suspension differences between a C4 and C5.

As someone mentioned, the shocks are not the same.
The only place to buy them is via a dealer. Make sure you're sitting down when they tell you the price...even from a place like Superior Chevrolet that sells 10% over their cost.
"FYI", people often confuse the 1996 F45 Real Time Damping Delphi shocks with the '95 and earlier FX3 Selective Ride Control Bilstein shocks. The '96 shocks are not, let me repeat that, are not the same as the earlier shocks and they are not interchangeable.
As Dan mentioned above, you can punt them and substitute in traditonal shocks. I used to use Z51 Bilsteins and now have adjustable Koni Sports. There are various ways around the Service Ride Control light you'll get with the factory shocks removed from the system. Some pull the fuse in the rear compartment, I popped the light bulb out.
