Default Shifting problem...clutch?/transmission?

I have a '92 with a 6-speed...I recently had a new clutch, pressure plate ant tob put in. I had a friend do it for me, when I got it back it would shift into gears smoothly, occasionally first and second have to be slightly forced in and forget about about reverse if the engine is on. I took it to a local transmission shop and the guy checked everything and said it looked fine, but they may have put the wrong transmission fluid back in. Well, the guy who put the clutch in didnt change the fluid, so I dont think that is the problem. I took it to a GM garage today and they said the clutch needed to be bled again, so they did and the car still shifts the same. Any ideas, by the way it is a ZOOM clutch unit.

How many miles, and is it an LT1? Where parts stock or aftermarket?

Suggest reviewing ZFDOC.COM, they have good info/suggestions.

It sounds like the clutch hydraulics.

If the slave has more than 50k, try replacing it, also consider replacing the master too. Don't forget to look at the hose and the fluid color. If really black, the hose might be decomposing and should also be replaced.

Be prepared for a challenge in the bleeding of the slave, but don't pump the pedal with the slave unmounted, it will push the plunger to far out. Gravity bleed it while unmounted and then reverse bleed if possible, otherwise, take your time, and be sure to pump pedal lots of times (50-100) and raise rear of car higher than front if possible.

Also, use the GM clutch fluid, it has many benefits over all others.

It's a 92 with 73k, the clutch is an aftermarket ZOOM clutch. The slave cylinder was just replaced with the clutch, PP, and TOB. I have no idea what is going on. It was bled by the guy who put the clutch in and my local GM dealer.
