TPI conversion...
I that guy that keeps posting crazy questions about your TPI's 'cause I'm trying to put one in my 76 C3.
Anyways, I got the lower intake manifold installed last night and did a dry fit.
I started a thread on it here:

There's a link on it to the pics of the install.
Let me know what you guys think about the intake...
-fitting the intake to the OEM filter with the MAF in place??
-what is that large metal vac line on the right front?
-is there enough room between dist & firewall to fit the larger HEI?
-does the brake booster vac line go to the left rear of the plenum?
BTW, I suggest you just cap off those two coolant fittings on the lower front and lower right of the TB.
The plenum tail piece is available through MAM; if you look for one in a bone yard do NOT get the plastic one used on early F-body cars.
It looks like the intake is the biggest issue now. Is there any way you can run it directly ver the fan shroud or do you plan on an air scoop in the hood??
BTW, are those parts from an F-body or from a Vette?
It looks to me like the cap fit could be tight... I hope it is ok.
The brake booster is supposed to connect to the left rear of the intake plenum, I would get the L98 factory brake booster line and it won't be a problem.
The metal line that comes up on the right side is old fuel line, I would bet.
I'm not using a MAF as I have a MAP sensor on my controller ( www.megasquirt.info )
The distributor dropped right into place, I haven't put the cap on yet, so we'll have to see about that.
The intake is from a vette, as the fuel rail hookups are on the pass. side.
There are varying opinions as to which year, 85 or 86.
I'll probably be snaking the intake line down between the radiator and the a-arms. I have the stock air box, but there's no way it would fit on top of the radiator. That thing is huge, you guys have so much more space...
You could do what I did for my LT1 conversion and just stick a K&N filter on the TB, actualy I had to place it on the MAF sensor but you could just stick it on the end. It is a bit of a trade off between cold air and a straight shot for air flow but it is an option. Street and performance sells an air filter that will fit directly to the TB for the speed density cars
I'm not using a MAF, so it would probably fit (look at the pics, that is a stock accordion on my TB, and it's hitting the fan, not much room).
I did most of the wiring harness yesterday:

S&P makes an air cleaner that goes right on the end of the TB and would eliminate the hose all togeather. They are kind of pricy but I remeber K&N had one that also fit the end of the TB for around $50 so if you can find one that fits it may provide you a solution if the cold air intake wont work.
