Default Hard shifting ZF tranny when cold

I had the fluid changed with the correct fluid 20k miles or so ago. About a week ago, this problem started. Car sits for the night, go out the next day to drive it, and it is almost near impossible to shift into any gear. I need to use two hands to push it into gear. When the car warms up, shifts fine. What could this be?

Ever have the trans and rear end fluids changed?
Mine became harder to shift over the years, once I changed the fluids it was better than new. I have done this twice in the 10 years I have owened the car.

check your clutch fluid.

It can be low and a bit less helpful when cold.

At 20k miles, it's time to change out the fluid. If you live in an area with REAL winter, use the GM Spec oil.

Otherwise, I highy recommend BMW/Castrol TWS 10-60. It is available only at your friendly local BMW dealer.

I went to check my clutch fluid, but came away scratching my head. Where the hell is the resevoir for the clutch fluid? This is a 1994 ZF LT1.

Cool deal, will look in the morning.

Which clutch fluid is the best? Is it ok to mix new with old fluid if the old fluid is dirty/contaminated?

Any decent brake fluid, I've used NAPA DOT4 in the clutch hydraulics.

Dont use DOT 4!!! only use GM fluid... the GM flluid has additives that help the seals last longer and will help prevent future leaks.
